Off Center Dining Room Light Fixture. I have the opposite problem, my dining room light fixture is in the middle of the room, where the table use to be, i was not a fan of having to walk around a table to. There is also a 12 1/2 inch header beam on the ceiling between the dining room please offer your suggestions for lights for this room!

Dimmers are particularly desirable as they provide flexibility in establishing a relaxing atmosphere when entertaining. The easiest option would be to run a new cable directly from the switch, up to the ceiling fixture. Bottom line, the fixture in the dining room will never be centered over the table.
